The bathroom is also an unforgiving environment for finish work. Surfaces that look acceptable in a dry space show every flaw when they're wet, lit with LED strips, and reflected in a large mirror. Material Choices and Their Impact
White oak is the dominant choice in luxury NYC bathrooms. Its tight grain holds up well with proper finishing, and its warm, neutral tone works across a wide range of tile and stone palettes. A white oak vanity with a matte lacquer topcoat is one of the most durable combinations available.

What's Usually Included in the Price
A well-scoped vanity quote includes: the vanity carcass, all drawer boxes and door panels, hardware (pulls, hinges, soft-close mechanisms), finishing, delivery, and installation. It typically excludes: the countertop/stone slab, sinks, faucets, mirrors, lighting, and plumbing rough-in.

How to Get an Accurate Quote
Bring three things to your first conversation with a millwork studio: your bathroom floor plan with plumbing locations marked, your stone selection or direction (slab vs. quartz vs. other), and your sink type (undermount, vessel, or integrated). A good studio will ask about your existing plumbing rough-in locations, your ceiling height, whether the vanity will be wall-mounted or floor-standing, and your drain configuration.
